A Dream Realized: St. Mary’s Church, Eram Blessed and Inaugurated in the Diocese of Punalur | A Communio Project Since 2022
The faithful of Eram in the Diocese of Punalur joyfully celebrated the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed St. Mary’s Church on 7 June 2026. The church was solemnly blessed and inaugurated by Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan of Punalur in the presence of clergy, religious, benefactors, and a large gathering of the faithful.
The construction of the church was undertaken as a Communio-supported project that began in 2022, reflecting the spirit of prayer, solidarity, and shared mission. Through the generous support of benefactors and the dedicated efforts of the local Christian community, the long-cherished dream of a new place of worship became a reality.
The celebration marked a significant milestone for the parish, offering a renewed spiritual home for the faithful and a visible sign of God’s presence among His people. The Diocese of Punalur expressed gratitude to Communio, its benefactors, and all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
