Pathanapuram: The Monthly Recollection for Priests and Religious of the Diocese of Punalur was held at St. Xavier’s Animation Centre, Pathanapuram, on 29 June 2026, from 10.30 a.m. to 1.45 p.m. A good number of priests and religious working in the Diocese participated in the recollection. The programme included the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration, and a recollection talk.
The recollection talk was given by Rev. Fr. Berny Varghese OFM Cap. During the gathering, Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan offered fraternal advice and encouraged the participants to reflect deeply on their vocation and ministry as priests and religious.
Msgr. Sebastian Vaz coordinated and organized the recollection programme in a systematic manner. Rev. Fr. Benedict Thekkuvila, Director of the Centre, made all necessary arrangements for the hall and refreshments. Rev. Fr. Jijo, Rev. Fr. Ajith K.C., and Rev. Fr. Vineeth shared their Programmes, experiences and reflections on their ministry. Rev. Fr. Colin also spoke about the negative influence of Emperor Emmanuel in some of our parishes. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Rev. Fr. Praveen, who expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the recollection.
