Punalur: A one-day training program was organized for members of the Laity Ministry Committee under the auspices of the Punalur Diocese Laity Commission. The program, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at St. Xavier's Animation Centre, Pathanapuram, was inaugurated by the Bishop of Punalur, Most Rev. Sylvester Ponnumuthan. Rev. Dr. Gregory R.B. (Aluva Pontifical Seminary) conducted sessions on the topics of Servant Leadership, the Vision of the Church through the Second Vatican Council, and Emotional Intelligence, respectively.
Brother Idukki Thankachan and Sr. Faustina SPR conducted the classes. Seventy-six representatives from various parishes of the Punalur Diocese participated. Leadership was provided by the Forane Animator Sisters, BEC Executive Secretary Rev. Dr. Ajith KC, Commissions Coordinator Rev. Fr. Benedict Thekkuvila, and Diocesan Laity Ministry Coordinator Dr. Joy Francis.
