The Chrism Mass and the Renewal of Priestly Vows, a significant part of Holy Week, were solemnly celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church, Punalur. The celebration was presided over by Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan , Diocese of Punalur. In his message, the bishop shared that the priesthood is a divine gift, the priestly life is a journey of faith, and this journey of faith is a pilgrimage of hope.
Msgr. Sebastian Vaz, Vicar General, Msgr.Joseph Roy ,Episcopal Vicar and Very Rev. Dr. Roy B. Simson, Chancellor, were among the concelebrants. Rev. Fr. Jeeson OSJ led the monthly recollection for priests and religious, which was followed by Lenten confession and Eucharistic Adoration.
Priests, religious, and lay faithful from various parishes across the diocese participated in the sacred celebration.
