The 18th death anniversary of Bishop Mathias Kappil, the first bishop of the Punalur diocese, was celebrated on 24.02.2025, Monday, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Punalur, at 11:45 AM. The Holy Mass was officiated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Selvister Ponnuthan, Bishop of Punalur. During the Mass, Rev. Fr. Sam Shine delivered the homily. The diocesan Vicar General, Msgr. Sebastian Vaz, and diocesan Chancellor Rev. Dr. Roy B. Simson were concelebrants. Priests, religious, and the faithful from various parishes also participated.
