The Punalur CRI meeting

The Punalur CRI held its scheduled meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, with a spirit of reflection and renewal inspired by the Jubilee Year and its central theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.”

The meeting was officially opened with a warm welcome by the President, Rev. Fr. Andrews OCD, who set the tone by highlighting the significance of living as hopeful witnesses in a time marked by both challenges and opportunities. The Vice President, Rev. Fr. Antony Vincent OFM, then introduced the keynote speaker, Rev. Fr. Jain Mary Cherian OFM, who offered a profound class on the theme of “Hope”, beautifully tying it to the Jubilee Year’s spiritual journey.

Fr. Jain emphasized that faith and hope are inextricably linked, calling all religious to walk as “pilgrims of hope”, embodying resilience, trust, and renewal in their mission and daily life. A reflective discussion followed, exploring how the message of hope can be lived out practically within communities, apostolates, and personal spiritual growth. This session was moderated by Secretary Fr. Bins, encouraging participation from various congregations.

Adding to the spirit of celebration and fraternity, cultural programs were presented by: Brothers from Perunkulam OCD Seminary, Brothers from Anchal OFM Seminary, Sisters from Pazhakulam MSMHC Secretary Fr. Bins also presented the minutes and report of the previous meeting, while President Fr. Andrews shared the financial summary on behalf of the Treasurer. Looking ahead with hope, it was decided that the next CRI meeting will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, continuing the journey of communion and renewal in light of the Jubilee.

The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Rev. C. Jessintha CRR, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants. The gathering ended with a shared meal, strengthening the bonds of fellowship among all present.
