The Presbyterium of the Diocese of Punalur was convened on 31st March 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Xavier’s Animation Centre, Pathanapuram.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur, presided over the meeting. Msgr. Sebastian Vaz, Vicar General, extended a warm welcome to all the clergy. The report of the previous meeting was presented by Rev. Dr. Roy B. Simson, Chancellor of the Diocese. Rev. Dr. Christy Joseph, Judicial Vicar, introduced various topics related to the Ruby Jubilee of the Diocese. Rev. Fr. Benedict introduced the pastoral plan of the CCBI with clarity. Rev. Dr. Roy B. Simson, Chancellor of the Diocese, presented the final draft of the liturgical Tharif. Rev. Fr. Ajeesh Cleetus, Financial Administrator, provided a detailed explanation of the software for the Monthly Statement. Mr. Antony Fernandez from Kollam also offered valuable insights into the technical aspects of the software. Rev. Fr. Justin Zechariah informed the clergy the fourth coming Bishop’s Pastoral Visit and its procedures. Rev. Fr. Joy D. Canayil was elected as the General Convenor for the Diocesan Ruby Jubilee.
The meeting concluded with prayer and a delightful lunch.
